The studio
We're a small studio in Bogotá, Colombia. We design every piece here, and we make it here: cut, stitched and finished by the people you'll meet below.
Every piece carries some stitching done by hand, and it travels from our bench to customers in more than 100 countries.

Shoemakers and doctors
Juan Andrés, who designs our pieces, grew up in Bogotá between two family trades. His family made shoes. His grandmother loved leather so much that she travelled to Italy to learn from its leatherworkers, at La Scuola del Cuoio in Florence, and she taught him to see the detail in a well-made pair.
His grandfather was a doctor who rode on horseback into the Andes to care for people far from any town. From one he took the craft, from the other the wish to be of use.
He studied both mathematical engineering and design, and in 2015 he opened the studio.

One person, then two
At first Juan Andrés did it all: he built the website, set up the bench, and designed, cut, stitched, photographed and packed every order himself.
A month later his girlfriend, now his wife, joined him, and they built the studio after their day jobs. They wanted a place where the people who make the pieces are glad to come in, free to try ideas, and at home. That's why we still make everything here, ourselves.
