Materials
Full-grain leather
The leather of our main colours, Black, Dark Brown, Brown, Navy, Green and Tan, comes from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group, which audits how leather is made against environmental standards.
We use only full-grain leather. It gets better with age: as you carry it, it takes on a patina of its own.
Hydrofuge leather
We finish our full-grain leather so water runs off it. The finish closes the surface of the hide without changing how it looks or feels.
It keeps water out for up to an hour, in rain or snow. If it gets wet, dry it with a cloth and the leather stays as it was.
It's on our Black, Brown, Dark Brown, Navy, Green and Tan leather.
Kid suede
Soft, light, with a velvety finish you'll want to touch.
Suede
Soft, thin and supple, from pigskin. Its open surface breathes, and pairing it with full-grain leather is one of our signatures.
Linen
Inside, linen: it's light, so the piece weighs less, and it lasts. We want the inside to be as good as the outside.
YKK zippers
Japanese zippers, made to run smoothly through years of daily use.
Waxed thread
Strong, thick and slow to tangle, so it's right for stitching by hand. Its colours are richer than ordinary thread.
Memory foam
Where the straps meet your shoulder, we pad them with memory foam. It warms and shapes to you as you carry the bag.
Set the bag down and the foam springs back to its first shape, ready for the next day.
You'll find it in our backpacks, briefcases, duffle and sport bags.
A cotton bag, not a box
Your piece travels in a bag of 100% cotton, not a box. Keep it: it's the best place to store your piece when you're not carrying it.
